Little ကုိ Adjective အေနႏွင့္ သုံးတာေလးကဒီလုိပါ။

1-(a) Small in size =အရြယ္စားေသးငယ္ျခင္း။
• She has little feet.သူမေျခေထာက္ေလးေတြက
                              ေသးတယ္။
• A little island = က်ြန္းငယ္ေလး။
• A little airplane = ေလယာဥ္ပ်ံေလး။
• A little business= စီးပြါးေရးေလး။
• Our school is little=ငါတုိ႔ေက်ာင္းကေသးေသးေလး

(b) Not tall - short. အရပ္မရွည္ေသာ-ပုေသာ။

• A little man =လူပုကေလး။
• A littler man = ပုိျပီးပုတဲ့လူကေလး။

(c) Small in amount=အေရအတြက္ပမာဏနည္းျခင္း
• I have very little money, so I can't lend
  you any.
  ငါက ပုိက္ဆံနည္းနည္းရွိတာ ဒါေၾကာင့္ မင္းကုိမေခ်းနုိင္ဘူး။
• I got very little sleep last night.
  ငါက ညတုန္းက နည္းနည္းပဲ အိပ္ခဲ့ရတာ။

• There's little hope of a rescue now.
  အခုကယ္ဆယ္ေရးေမ်ွာ္လင့္ခ်က္ကနည္းနည္းပဲရွိေတာ့တယ္

• There was no little sadness in his voice.
  သူ႔ရဲ႕အသံထဲမွာ ဝမ္းနည္းတဲ့ေလသံနည္းနည္းမွမရွိဘူး။

(d) Not having many things or people
      included.
     မ်ားစြာေသာအရာဝတၳဳေတြ (သုိ႔)လူေတြပါဝင္မႈနည္းျခင္း။

• We're having a little party this weekend.
  ဒီတစ္ပတ္စေနတနဂၤေႏြမွာ ငါတုိ႔ပါတီပြဲေလးက်င္းပမယ္။

• A little group of people.= လူအုပ္စုကေလး။
 
• A little village = ရြာကေလး။

• Her little homedown=သူမရဲ႕ဇာတိျမိဳ႕ေလး။

2- Young or younger=ငယ္ရြယ္ျခင္း(သုိ႔)ပုိ၍ငယ္
                                    ရြယ္ျခင္း။
• I love swimming when I was young.
  ငါငယ္ငယ္တုန္းကေရကူးရတာ ႏွစ္သက္တယ္။

• A little boy / girl. ေကာင္ကေလး/ ကေလးမေလး။

• He's very proud of his little girl.
သူသူ႔ရဲ႕ေကာင္မေလးနဲ႔ပက္သက္ျပီး အေတာ္ဂုဏ္ယူေနတယ္

• How's your little one?
  မင္းရဲ႕ အငယ္ဆုံးသား/သမီးေလး ေနေကာင္းလား။

• My little brother/ sister.
  ငါ့ညီေလး / ညီမေလး။

3-Always used before a noun: not lasting
    for a long time.
    နာမ္တစ္ခုရဲ႕ေရွ႕မွာ အျမဲတမ္းသုံးတယ္ - ၾကာရွည္စြာမ
    တည္တ့ံျခင္း။
• I have to take a little break.
  ငါ ခဏေလးေတာ့ အနားယူရမယ္။

• We sat down for a little chat.
  ငါတုိ စကားေျပာဖို႔ ခဏထုိင္ခဲ့ေသးတယ္။

• We talked for a little while.
  ငါတုိ႔ ခဏေတာ့ ေဆြးေႏြးၾကေသးတယ္။

4- Always used before a noun: not very
     important.
    နာမ္တစ္ခုရဲ႕ေရွ႕မွာအျမဲတမ္းသုံးတယ္။ သိပ္အေရးမၾကီးပါ
    ဘူးဆုိတဲ့ပုံစံနဲ႔။

• There are a few little problems that still
  have to be dealt with.
  ကုိင္တြယ္ေျဖရွင္းရဦးမယ့္ ျပႆ    နာအနည္းငယ္ေတာ့ရွိတယ္

• He memorized very little detail of the
  scene.
သူက အျဖစ္အပ်က္ေသးေသးေလးကစ မွတ္မိတယ္။

# Sometimes used in an ironce way to
   describe something important.
   တစ္ခါတရံမွာ တစ္ခုခုအေရးၾကီးတာကုိေဖာ္ျပဖို႔အတြက္
   ဟာသလုပ္တဲ့ပုံ ေစာင္းငဲ့ခ်ိတ္တဲ့ပုံစံႏွင့္ အသုံးျပဳတယ္။

• There's just one little problems we
  havn't discussed: the company is going
  to bankrupt!
  မေဆြေႏြးရေသးတဲ့ ျပႆ    နာအနည္းငယ္ေတာ့ရွိတာေပါ့၊
  ကုမၸဏီက ေဒဝါလီခံရေတာ့မွာကုိ။

• I need to talk to you about the little
  matter of money you owe me.
မင္းငါ့ကုိေပးစရာရွိတဲ့ ေငြေရးေၾကးေရး ကိစၥေလးႏွင့္ပက္
သက္ျပီး ငါမင္းႏွင့္ေဆြးေႏြးဖို႔လုိအပ္တယ္။

5- Always used before a noun: not easily
    seen,heard etc.
    နာမ္တစ္ခုရဲ႕ေရွ႕မွာ အျမဲတမ္းသုံးတယ္။ ျမင္ရမလြယ္ကူ
    ျခင္း ၾကားရမလြယ္ကူျခင္းစသည္ပုံစံနဲ႔။

• He gives her a little smile.
  သူက သူမကုိ အနည္းငယ္ျပံဳးျပတယ္။

• She made a little wave with her hand.
  သူမရဲ႕လက္ႏွင့္ အနည္းငယ္ေဝွ႔ယမ္းျပတယ္။

• She spoke in a quiet little voice.
  တုိးညွင္းေသာေလသံေလးႏွင့္ သူမစကားေျပာတယ္။

6- Always used before a noun.

(a)used to refer to someone or
    something in an approving or friendly
    way.
   တစ္ေယာက္ေယာက္ကုိ(သုိ႔)တစ္ခုခုကုိ သေဘာတူတဲ့(သုိ႔)
   ရင္ႏွီးတဲ့ပုံစံကုိ ရည္ညြန္းတဲ့အခါ နာမ္၏ေရွ႕မွာသုံးတယ္။

• That's a nice little car you got there.
   မင္းမွာရွိတဲ့ကားက ကားေကာင္းေလးပါ။

• You poor little thing!
   မင္းေတာ့ သနားစရာေလးပါလား။

(b) Used to refer to  someone or
     something in a disapproving or critical
     way.
     တစ္ေယာက္ေယာက္(သုိ႔) တစ္ခုခုကုိ မေက်နပ္တဲ့(သုိ႔)
     ေဝဖန္တဲ့ ပုံစံကုိ ရည္ညြန္းတဲ့အခါမွ နာမ္၏ေရွ႕မွာထား
     သုံးတယ္။

• He's a little jerk.သူကနည္းနည္းရူးတယ္ ေပါတယ္။

• It was a mean little joke.
   ဒါက ရယ္စရာေလးျဖစ္ေအာင္လုပ္တဲ့သေဘာ။

• She has a dirty little  secret.
  သူမမွာ အနည္းငယ္ညစ္ပတ္တဲ့လွ်ိဳ႕ဝွက္ခ်က္တစ္ခုရွိတယ္။

7- Always used before a noun: not open
     to new idea.
    နာမ္၏ေရွ႕မွာ အျမဲတမ္းသုံးတယ္။ အၾကံဉာဏ္သစ္မပြင့္
    လင္းျခင္း။

• People with little minds.
  စိတ္နုတဲ့လူ။

### Little (adverb)
1- in a very small amount or degree.
         အဆင့္အတန္းေသးငယ္ျခင္း(သုိ႔) အေရအတြက္
         နည္းျခင္း။

• She works very little.
  သူမ အလုပ္သိပ္မလုပ္ဘူး အနည္းငယ္ပဲလုပ္တယ္။

• She sleeps little.
   သူမ သိပ္မအိပ္ဘူး အနည္းငယ္ပဲအိပ္တယ္။

• Please speak as little as possible.
  ေက်းဇူးျပဳျပီး စကားကုိနည္းႏုိင္သမ်ွနည္းေပးပါ။

2- Not very often.
     မၾကာခဏ မဟုတ္ျခင္း။

• She travels little.
  သူမ ခရီးထြက္ခဲတယ္ သိပ္မထြက္ဘူး။

### Little (pronoun)
1- Small amount or quantity.
     အေရအတြက္နည္းပါးျခင္း။

• There's little we can do to help.
   ငါတုိ႔ကူညီေပးႏုိင္တာ နည္းနည္းပဲရွိတယ္။

• Little is known about her life.
  သူမဘဝႏွင့္ပက္သက္ျပီး ေက်ာ္ၾကားမႈက နည္းနည္းေလး။

• They say precious little about their job.
   သူတုိ႔အလုပ္နွင့္ပက္သက္ျပီးတန္ဖိုးရွိတာေလာက္ပဲနည္းနည္း
ေျပာတယ္။

• They understand little of what is going
  on.
  ဘာျဖစ္ေနတယ္ဆုိတာကုိ သူတုိ႔က နည္းနည္းပဲနားလည္
  တာပါ။

A litle = not much but some.
             သိပ္မဟုတ္ဘူး ဒါေပမယ့္ နည္းနည္း။

• I don't want much, I want just a little bit.
   ငါက အမ်ားၾကီးမလုိခ်င္ဘူး နည္းနည္းေလးပဲလုိခ်င္တာ။

• There's a little sugar in this cookies.
   ဒီဘီစကြတ္မုန္႔ထဲမွာ သၾကားနည္းနည္းပဲပါတာ။

• I have a little money, so I may be able
to lend you some.
ငါ့မွာပုိက္ဆံနည္းနည္းရွိတာ ဒါေၾကာင့္ မင္းကုိ နည္းနည္းပဲ
