Countable & Uncountable

***ဒီ Nounကလည္း သိဖို႔လိုအပ္တာေၾကာင့္
ေဖာ္ျပေပးတာ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

*** Noun တစ္လံုးကုိ ေတြ႔တာနဲ႔ အဓိက
သိထားရမွာက အဲဒီနာမ္ဟာ ေရတြက္လုိ႔
ရသလား၊ မရဘူးလား ဆုိတာ ပါပဲ။

e.g

Spider - ပင့္ကူ
Pen     - ေဘာပင္
Book   -စာအုပ္

… ေတြကုိ တခု, ႏွစ္ခု စသည္ျဖင့္ ေရတြက္၍
ရေသာေၾကာင့္ Countable Noun -
(ေရတြက္လုိ႔ ရတဲ႔ နာမ္) လုိ႔ ေခၚပါတယ္။

*** Countable Noun ကုိ Singular
Number (သုိ႔) Plural Number
၂ မ်ိဳး စလုံးနဲ႔ သုံးႏိုင္တယ္။

e.g

They bought a car.
New cars are very expensive.

e.g

Rain     - မိုး
Music   - ေတးဂီတ
Grass   - ျမက္
…ေတြဟာ တစ္ခု, ႏွစ္ခု စသည္ျဖင့္
မေရတြက္ ႏုိင္တာေၾကာင့္ Uncountable
Noun (ေရတြက္လို႔ မရတဲ႔ နာမ္)လုိ႔ ေခၚပါတယ္။

***Uncountable Noun ေတြ ကုိ Singular Number အျဖစ္သာ သုံးေလ့ ရွိပါတယ္။

e.g

Water is necessary for us.
Music helps me to relax.

***Countable Noun ေတြရဲ႕ ေရွ႕မွာ
a/an နဲ႔ ကိန္းဂဏန္းေတြကုိ သုံးႏိုင္တယ္။

e.g

a man     an owl     two books

*** Uncountable Noun ရဲ႕ ေရွ႕မွာ
a/an နဲ႕ ကိန္းဂဏန္းေတြကုိ သုံးလုိ႔ မရပါဘူး။

e.g

a sand (×)an air(×)two weathers (×)

*** A ကုိ ဗ်ည္းသံရဲ႕ ေရွ႕မွာ သုံးတယ္
A problem ,   A keyboard

*** An ကုိ သရသံ (အ, သံ) ရဲ႕ ေရွ႕မွာသုံးတယ္။

e.g

an atmosphere   an emperor

***Some ကုိ Plural Noun နဲ႕
Uncountable Noun ေတြရဲ႕ ေရွ႕မွာ
သုံးတယ္။

e.g

Some books         Some rice
Some men            Some milk

*** တစ္ခ်ိဳ႕ Noun ေတြကုိ Countable နဲ႕ Uncountable ႏွစ္မ်ိဳး သုံးႏိုင္ေပမဲ႔
အဓိပၸါယ္ခ်င္းကြဲျပားေနတာကုိ ေလ့လာၾကည့္ပါ။

a glass(ဖန္ခြက္) glass(ဖန္ထည္/မွန္ထည္)

a hair(ဆံပင္ေမြး)  hair(ဆံပင္)

a paper(သတင္းစာ) smoe paper (စကၠဴ)

some potatoes(အားလူး) some potato (စားသုံးဖြယ္)

*** Uncountable Noun ရဲ႕ ေရွ႕မွာ Of ခံၿပီး ေရတြက္(ခ်င္တြယ္)လုိ႔ ရတဲ႕
ပစၥည္းေတြနဲ႔ တြဲသုံးႏိုင္တယ္။

e.g

a loaf of bread- ေပါင္မုန္႔ တစ္လုံး
a slice of bread- ေပါင္မုန္႔ တစ္ခ်ပ္
a cup of milk- ႏြားႏုိ႔တစ္ခြက္
a plate of rice- ထမင္းတစ္ပန္းကန္
a can of oil- ဆီတစ္ပုံး
a bar of chocolate-ေခ်ာကလပ္ တစ္ေတာင့္
a piece of music- သီခ်င္းတစ္ပုဒ္
a game of tinnis- တင္းနစ္တစ္ပြဲ
a piece of advice- အႀကံဉာဏ္တစ္ခု
a piece of news- သတင္းတစ္ပုဒ္
a glass of water- ေရတစ္ခြက္
