Speaking အတြက္ဝါက်တိုေလးမ်ား (၁၉)

အရင္ post မွာ ဝါက်နံပါတ္ ၅၂၀ မွာရပ္ခဲ့တယ္။ ဒီမွာ ၅၂၁ မွ စလိုက္ၾကစို႔။

၅၂၁။ Why is everybody so quiet today?
ဒီေန႔ အားလံုးတိတ္လွခ်ီလား။

၅၂၂။ How do you get along with your new neighbours?
မင္း အိမ္နီးခ်င္းအသစ္ေတြနဲ႔ အဆင္ေျပရဲ႕လား။

ဒီေမးခြန္းမွာ How ကို ဘယ္လိုလုပ္သလဲ လို႔ဘာသာမျပန္ပါနဲ႔။ Do you get along with your new neighbors? နဲ႔ အတူတူပါပဲ။ အိမ္နီးခ်င္းေတြနဲ႔ အဆင္ေျပပါတယ္ လို႔ျပန္ေျဖရင္ေတာ့ We get along fine. လို႔ေျပာပါ။

၅၂၃။ That's an unlikely story.
ဒါဟာမျဖစ္ႏိုင္တာႀကီးပါဗ်ာ။

၅၂၄။ It is likely to rain.
မိုးရြာႏိုင္တယ္။ ရြာဖို႔နီးစပ္တယ္။

၅၂၅။ It is likely to happen.
ျဖစ္ႏိုင္ေျခရွိတယ္။

၅၂၆။ It is unlikely to happen.
ျဖစ္ႏိုင္ေျခမရွိပါဘူး။

၅၂၇။ In the worst case scenerio, we may have to sell the house.
ယုတ္စြအဆံုး ငါတို႔အိမ္ေရာင္းျပစ္ရရံုေပါ့ကြာ။
ဒီဝါက်မွာ the worst case scenerio ကို အတြဲလိုက္မွတ္ပါ။ အဆိုးဆံုးျဖစ္ႏိုင္ေျခ ကိုမွန္းဆေျပာတာ။

၅၂၈။ If the worst comes to the worst, we just have to cancel the trip.
အဆိုးတကာ့အဆိုးဆံုးျဖစ္လာခဲ့ရင္ ခရီးသြားမယ့္အစီအစဥ္ဖ်က္ရမွာေပါ့။
ဒီဝါက်မွာ if the worst comes to the worst ကိုအတြဲလိုက္မွတ္ပါ။ အေပၚက the worst case scenerio လိုပါပဲ။

၅၂၉။ That woman almost destroyed my life.
အဲဒီ မိန္းမေၾကာင့္ ငါဘဝပ်က္လုနီးပါးျဖစ္ခဲ့ရတာ။

၅၃၀။ He is tall, dark and handsome.
သူဟာ အရပ္ျမင့္ျမင့္ ညိဳညိဳ ေခ်ာေခ်ာ။

၅၃၁။ She makes a fuss about everything.
သူဟာ အားလံုးကို ဂက်ီဂေၾကာင္က်တတ္တယ္။
make a fuss= ဂ်ီးမ်ားသည္။ ဂက်ီဂေၾကာင္က်သည္
fussy (adjective)= ဂ်ီးမ်ားေသာ

၅၃၂။ She is hard to please.
သူ႔ကို စိတ္ေက်နပ္ေအာင္လုပ္ဖို႔ ခက္သားလား။

၅၃၃။ It is totally unfair to traet me like this.
ငါ့ကို ဒီလိုမ်ိဳးဆက္ဆံတာ လံုးဝမတရားဘူး။

၅၃၄။ Stop messing with my computer.
ငါ့ကြန္ျပဴတာကို မကလိပါနဲ႔။ ကလိေနတာရပ္လိုက္။
mess with (verb)= ကလိသည္၊ လာရႈပ္သည္

၅၃၅။ My grandpa is in good shape.
ငါ့ရဲ႕ အဖိုးဟာ မာမာခ်ာခ်ာရွိတယ္။

၅၃၆။ My grandma is in the pink of health.
ငါ့အဖြား က်န္းမာေရးေတာ္ေတာ္ေကာင္းတယ္။
to be in the pink of health ဟာ idiom ပါ။ က်န္းမာလြန္းလို႔ ေသြးသားစိုေျပ ပန္းေရာင္ေလးထေနတာေပါ့။ to be in the pink လို႔လည္းသံုးတယ္။

၅၃၇။ She has a medical checkup once a year.
သူ တစ္ႏွစ္တစ္ခါ ေဆးစစ္တယ္။

၅၃၈။ Some local hospitals are filthy and unreliable.
ဒီက တခ်ိဳ႕ေဒသခံ ေဆးရံုေတြက ညစ္ပတ္ၿပီး စိတ္မခ်ရဘူး။
filthy= dirty

၅၃၉။ Private hospitals are costly but you can get proper  treatment.
ပုဂၢလိက ေဆးရံုေတြက ကုန္က်စားရိတ္ႀကီးေပမယ့္ ကုသမႈေကာင္းေကာင္းရႏိုင္တယ္။
costly= expensive

၅၄၀။ I will settle down in Mandalay.
ငါ မႏၲေလးမွာ အေျခခ်မယ္။

၅၄၁။ She is sitting there alone, sulking.
သူ အဲဒီမွာ တစ္ေယာက္တည္းထိုင္ၿပီး စိတ္ေကာက္ေနေလရဲ႕။
sulk= စိတ္ေကာက္ေနသည္
sulk ကို Noun လိုသံုးမယ္ဆို ေအာက္ကဝါက်လိုသံုးပါ။
She is in a fit of the sulks.

၅၄၂။ Don't underestimate me.
ငါ့ကို ေလွ်ာ့မတြက္ပါနဲ႔။
Don't underestimate your enemy.
ရန္သူကို ေလွ်ာ့မတြက္ပါနဲ႔။
estimate= ခန္႔မွန္းေျခတြက္ခ်က္ၾကည့္သည္
underestimate= ေလွ်ာ့တြက္သည္
overestimate= ပိုတြက္သည္

၅၄၃။ He looks miserable.
သူ႔ၾကည့္ရတာ စိတ္ညစ္ေနပံုရတယ္။

၅၄၄။ Please be patient.
စိတ္ရွည္ရွည္ထားပါ။

၅၄၅။ Did you sleep well?
အိပ္လို႔ေကာင္းရဲ႕လား။ အိပ္ေပ်ာ္ရဲ႕လား။

၅၄၆။ Variety is the spice of life.
အေျပာင္းအလည္းရွိမွလည္း ဘဝဟာစိတ္ဝင္စားစရာေကာင္းမွာ။

၅၄၇။ Only time will tell.
အခ်ိန္က ေျပာပါလိမ့္မယ္။
(အခ်ိန္တန္ရင္သိရမွာပါ။ အခ်ိန္က အဆံုးအျဖတ္ေပးပါလိမ့္မယ္။)

၅၄၈။ This too shall pass.
ဒါလည္း အခ်ိန္တန္ရင္ ၿပီးသြား၊ ေမ့ေပ်ာက္သြားမွာပါ။

မင္းကို မေျပာျပတတ္ေလာက္ေအာင္ခ်စ္တယ္။
(ေျပာတာထက္ေတာင္ပိုေသးတယ္)

၅၅၀။ No. That's not what I mean.
ငါ ဆိုလိုခ်င္တာ ဒါမဟုတ္ဘူး။

ေျပာေနက်အတိုင္းထပ္ေျပာလိုက္ပါရေစ......
ဝါက်ေလးေတြကို အသံထြက္ၿပီး ထပ္ခါထပ္ခါဖတ္။ အလြတ္ရေအာင္မွတ္ၾကပါ။
