အမွတ္တမဲ့ေလးမ် ား (3)

1-နာမဝိေသသန(adjective)က နာမ္/နာမ္စား(noun/
pronoun)ကို အထူးျပဳ ရင္အဲ့ဒီadjectiveကိုattributive
adjective လို႔ေခၚၿပီး၊link verb(ခ် ိတ္ဆက္ေပးေသာႀကိ
ယာ)ရဲ႕ေနာက္မွာ အျဖည့္ပုဒ္(complement)အလုပ္က္ို
လုပ္ရင္ အဲ့ဒီadjectiveကို predicative adjective လို႔
ေခၚပါတယ္။(link verbs: be, become, seem, appea
-r/look(=seem), feel, get/grow(=become), keep,
make, smell, sound, taste, turn.etc...)

2-အခ် ိဳ႕ေသာ adjective ေတြရဲ႕အဓိပၸါယ္ဟာ attributi
-ve နဲ႔ predicative ေပၚမူတည္ၿပီး အဓိပၸါယ္အနည္းငယ္
ကြဲျပား ၾကပါတယ္။
The late train=ေနာက္ရထား(အခ် ိန္ဇယားအရေနာက္
က် မွထြက္ေသာရထား/the train scheduled to run
late in the day)

The train is late.ရထား ေနာက္က်တယ္။
(ပံုမွန္ အခ် ိန္ထက္ ရထားေနာက္က် တာကို ေျပာတာပါ/
it is later than its proper time.)

ထိုနည္းတူပါပဲ
The early train=အေစာရထား
The train is early.ရထား ေစာတယ္။

3-adjective ေတြကို attributive အျဖစ္ အသံုးျပဳတဲ့အ
ခါ ႏွစ္လံုး(သို႔)ႏွစ္လံုးထက္ပိုသြားရင္
A-adj အမ် ိဳးအစား မတူဘူးဆိုရင္ သတ္မွတ္ထားတဲ့ အ
စီအစဥ္(order)အတိုင္းေ႐ွ႕ေနာက္စီေရး၊ၿပီးမွနာမ္(noun)ကိုေရး။(a big green carpet. အစိမ္းေရာင္ ေကာ္ေဇာ
ႀကီးတစ္ခ်ပ္)
adj အမ် ိဳးအစားတူတယ္ ဆိုရင္ ေကာ္မာ(comma/,)
ုျခားၿပီးေရး။(a tall, thin man.ပိန္ပိန္ ႐ွည္႐ွည္ လူတစ္
ေယာက္)အမ် ိဳးအစားတူရင္လည္း ေ႐ွ႕ ေနာက္အစီအ
စဥ္ေတာ့ရိွပါတယ္။႐ွာေဖြရသမ်ွ သီးျခားေရးေပးပါမည္။

B-predicative အျဖစ္ အသံုးျပဳ တဲ့အခါက်ေတာ့ အမ် ိဳး
အစား တူသည္ျဖစ္ေစ၊မတူသည္ျဖစ္ေစ၊ေနာက္ဆံုးadj
ရဲ႕ေ႐ွ႕မွာ and ခံၿပီးေရးပါ။
The man is tall and thin.လူႀကီးက ပိန္ပိန္ ႐ွည္႐ွည္။

C-He is a tall, thin man.သူက ပိန္ပိန္ ႐ွည္႐ွည္ လူ
တစ္ေယာက္။
ဤလိုဝါက်မ် ိဳးမွာ tall ႏွင့္ thin တို႔သည္ link verb ၏
ေနာက္မွာရိွေသာ္လည္း အျဖည့္ပုဒ္(complement)မ
ဟုတ္၊man ကိုအထူးျပဳေသာ attributive ျဖစ္သည္။
"a tall, thin man"တစ္ခုလံုးကမွာ complement ျဖစ္
သည္။
