1.  ကြ်န္ေတာ္/ကြ်န္မ အိမ္ေထာင္ရွိပါတယ္။

2.  သူက လူပ်ိဳပါ။     /    သူမက အပ်ိဳ ပါ။
     He is a bachelor./She is a bachelor girl.(or )
     He/She is not married.

3.  သူ / မ က လက္ထပ္ဖို႔ ေစ့စပ္ထားပါတယ္။
      He/She is engaged to be married.

4.  သူက မုဆိုးဖိုပါ။
      He is a widower.

5.  သူမက မုဆိုးမပါ။
      She is a widow.

6. သူက မိန္းမနဲ႔ ကြာရွင္းထားတယ္။
    He has divorced his wife.(မယားကြာ တစ္ခုလပ္)

7.  သူမက လင္ကြာ/တစ္ခုလပ္ ပါ။
     She is a divorcee.

8. ခင္ဗ်ားရဲ႕ဇနီး အလုပ္လုပ္လား။
    Is your  wife working?

9. ဟုတ္ကဲ႔။ ဘဏ္တစ္ခုမွာ ေငြကိုင္ပါ။
    Yes, she is a cashier at a bank.

10. ဟင့္အင္း။မလုပ္ပါဘူး။သူမက အိမ္ရွင္မပါ။
       No, she isn't. She is a housewife.

11. မိသားစု ေနေကာင္းၾကရဲ႕လား။
       How's the family?

12. ဟုတ္ကဲ႔။ ေနေကာင္းပါတယ္ခင္ဗ်ာ။
       Oh, they are all fine, thank you.
